Message have to do an awful lot of experimenting with different brake setups to be able to tell the impact (via measuring stopping distances over repeated stops). What may feel better initially because of quicker response may actually lengthen stopping distances. There are a few companies out there who have already done the work for you (Stoptech, etc.) so they know what the final impact of changing the brake system is. Stoptech, for example, uses the stock brake MC, but achieves quicker response due to larger rotors and calipers. BUT, they maintained the stock Z32 brake bias so as not to hurt stopping distances. Do some searching, there's lots of info on this site.
